Honda Security enhances your vehicle`s theft deterrent capabilities while adding the convenience and safety of Remote Control Operation. Integrating the features of a Honda engineered security system with Civic`s unique factory installed Imobolizer System provides the ultimate in theft deterrent capability and reliability. Fully integrated wiring harness designed by Honda engineers to integrate with the vehicle`s sophisticated electronic and mechanical operation. Remote control operation allows convenient locking and unlocking of vehicle as well as arming and disarming of security system. Includes panic button for emergencies. Door ajar warning: if any door or trunk is not closed properly, horn will sound three times and the system will not arm. Auto relock function automatically relocks any door that has been unlocked within 30 seconds when no doors have been opened. Welcome Light: when vehicle is unlocked by remote, the interior dome light illuminates for saftey. Power interrupt protection: if system is armed and then battery is disconnected, when power is restored, system will be armed. System status verification confirms system is armed by flashing parking lights and briefly sounding horn. Visual and audible alarm: once triggered the alarm honks the vehicle`s horn and flashes its parking lights. Passive operation: if selected, automatically arms system and locks doors 20 seconds after the last door is closed. Valet/disarm switch temporarily ceases all passive security functions when desired. Glass breakage detector triggers alarm if any glass is broken. Flashing L.E.D. is mounted on the steering column in clear view to warn that the system is armed. Door and trunk sensor (hood sensor optional) triggers system if any of these points of entry are opened. Optional hood sensor triggers alarm if the hood is opened which adds even more protection.
